Virtual Campbeltown Malts Festival Plans

We had hoped to be welcoming you all to our new Campbeltown premises in May for our first ever Watt Whisky & Friends Open Day, however sadly Covid has other ideas, so this is just a wee heads up about our virtual festival plans.

We have decided to keep things fairly small and simple for this year (We have much more experience organising physical tasting events and festivals rather than virtual ones, so don't want to bite off more than we can chew and end up disappointing people!) with some Zoom tastings on Saturday 29th May and a Sunday Session for our Watt Whisky Buds on the 30th.

Assuming we can get an occasional license to post out booze then there will be tasting packs to accompany the Saturday Zoom Tastings but, due to the shambles that is Brexit and the logistics and cost of posting abroad, I'm afraid these will only be available to those of you in the UK. Further details will be announced nearer the time but we are aiming for small, intimate tastings of no more than 25-ish people so we can (hopefully!) get a bit of interaction going.

The Sunday Session is a more informal (not that Saturday will be formal) affair, you'll have to provide your own drams for one thing, where you can drop in and out as you please for a chat and to find out what is coming up. All our Whisky Buds will receive an email with a Zoom login nearer the time to join if you wish.

We're also working on a Watt Whisky & Friends Live Stream event for the Friday (28th) evening but we're still working out the details on that one. Probably kicking off about 8.30pm though so you can pencil it in to your diaries if you wish!

Think that's about it for plans just now. Keep a note of dates and times of any events you are interested in and keep an eye on our website and social media for more details of how to get tickets etc nearer the time. Oh, you could also sign up to our mailing list if you want to be kept in the loop too.
