Campbeltown Malts Festival 2025
Campbeltown Malts Festival surely needs no introduction. A cracking week of whisky related fun. Our main event, the Watt Whisky & Friends Open Day, is on Saturday the 24th of May but we've got lots of other events planned for during the week too. Hopefully see you there!

Whiskyopolis Walking Tour & Tasting
Location: Watt Whisky HQ
A collaborative walking tour and tasting with our good friend David Stirk. We’ll make him do most of the work though since he’s been doing lots of research about Campbeltown for his latest book! After a walking tour round Campbeltown it’s back to HQ for a 4 dram tasting (2 from David and 2 from us). There’ll also be the opportunity to buy copies of David’s latest book, ‘Whiskyopolis - The Rise, Fall and Resurgence of Campbeltown’s Whisky Industry’, and a chance to get copies of his previous works, ‘Independent Scotch’ and ‘Pioneering Spirit’ if you haven’t already.

A triple-whammy trifecta of indie bottler terrific-ness! Julie Hamilton and Marcos McCurley will both join us for this indie extravaganza; 6 drams, 2 from each company, and plenty of chat.

The Colour Blind Tasting

A few people suggested doing a blind tasting this year so here it is! 6 drams, all poured blind and you have to figure out/guess the distillery, age and the colour Mark smells it as. Simple. We might even throw in a prize for the best blind taster…

The Watt Whisky Pub Quiz @ The Comm
Location: The Commercial Inn, Cross Street
We normally do Wednesday night tastings in the Commercial but since it’s Malts Festival we thought we’d do something a little bit different - our first ever Watt Whisky Pub Quiz! Questions will cover whisky, Campbeltown and some of Kate & Mark’s specialist subjects. You can play on your own or in a team (maximum 4 people) and there’ll be a bottle of Watt Whisky in it for the winner. We’ll even throw in a welcome dram for all the quizzers.
